
Home-made ice cream
It’s been a pretty hot couple of days here in Bristol and we know you’ve all been looking out for healthy cool snacks. That’s why we bring you 3 incredible recipes for healthy vegan ice-cream you can make at home in 5 minutes with just a few simple ingredients. Fancy some?
Each recipe yields 4-5 scoops of ice cream.
Mango & mint flavour
Ingredients:
- 2 very ripe, frozen bananas (peeled and sliced thinly before freezing)
- 150g of frozen mango
- 10 leaves of fresh mint
- 1 tablespoon of sweetener: erythritol or xylitol
Blend all the ingredients together in a blender. If your blender is not very powerful, take the frozen fruit out of the freezer and let them sit for 5 minutes before blending.
1 scoop of ice cream will contain approximately 85 kcal.
Peanut butter & chocolate flavour
Ingredients:
- 2 very ripe, frozen bananas (peeled and sliced thinly before freezing)
- 1 tablespoon of pure peanut butter
- 2 squares of dark chocolate
- 1 tablespoon of sweetener: erythritol or xylitol
Blend all the ingredients together in a blender. If your blender is not very powerful, take the frozen fruit out of the freezer and let them sit for 5 minutes before blending.
1 scoop of ice cream will contain approximately 120 kcal.
Forest fruit flavour
Ingredients:
- 2 very ripe, frozen bananas (peeled and sliced thinly before freezing)
- 150g frozen forest fruit (mixed or your favourite: raspberries, blueberries, cherries)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon of sweetener: erythritol or xylitol
Blend all the ingredients together in a blender. If your blender is not very powerful, take the frozen fruit out of the freezer and let them sit for 5 minutes before blending.
1 scoop of ice cream will contain approximately 85 kcal.
